Roundhouse kickMain article: Roundhouse kick In Japanese, "mawashi geri." In Korean, "Dollyo Chagi"
Also called a round kick or turning kick. The attacker swings his leg up in a circular motion. Also performable is a 360 degree in which the attacker performs a full circle with his/her leg. The striking surface is generally either the instep, shin or ball of foot.
This kick has a reputation as one of the most simple and powerful kicking techniques. It is widely known to be Chuck Norris'' favorite attack.
Reverse roundhouse kickMain article: Reverse roundhouse kick In Korean, "bandae dollyo chagi" Also called a reverse turning kick. This kick uses the heel as the striking tool. The kicking leg comes from around the kicker''s back and remains straight, unlike a reverse hooking kick. See above for more on hook kicks. Variations exist for low, middle and high height. |

In case you've been under a rock the last few days or weeks, details are slowly emerging about the next game in the Call of Duty series. This is despite the strong surge ahead by the current game Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare.
Thanks to Xbox 360: The Offical Magazine we now know that Treyarch will in fact be making this game as rumours had foretold. This may make a lot of you players out there anxious as their release of Call of Duty 3 was lackluster compared to the latest Call of Duty 4 release but there is no need to worry. Unlike the 11 month deadline that Treyarch had to get CoD3 out they will have had two years to work on the upcoming title.
Speaking of titles, as you may have guessed by the title of this news report, the Call of Duty series will be moving away from the numbers in it's titles as #5 will be set to be called World at War.
Now the stage must be set. Where and when will the action take place? As rumoured the action will indeed take place in the World War 2 time frame, specifically focusing on the Pacific theatre of war between the Americans and Japanese. You'll also get to see action between the Russians and Germans as Russia advances on Berlin.
There will be lots of new additions to the series through this release:
- CoD4 engine will be used: To keep things fluid and the gameplay environments will be more destructible
- Vehicles: Be prepared for all out war with a multitude of WWII vehicles to use
- Extreme AI:Get prepared to battle the enemy like never before with the Japanese set to be as aggressive as ever performing flanking moves, setting traps, hiding in trees and in the ground (yes i said IN the ground)
- New Weapons: Be prepared to use a flamethrower to flush enemies out of bunkers and set the grass and trees on fire (WooHoo)
- Multiplayer staying: The MP mode of play will remain with the addition of new vehicles. Players will also have the chance to upgrade their perks through the new leader system which rewards you for staying close to your leader in game.
Co-op mode: Will feature a split screen for two players and online co-op for four players
